Marc is a founding partner of Ironwood Capital and the investment advisors for its affiliated funds, the Ironwood Mezzanine Fund LP and Ironwood Equity Fund LP. He has overall management responsibility for all Ironwood Capital activities with a primary focus on strategic direction, business development, and investor and regulatory relations. He is a member of the investment committees for both of the Ironwood Capital funds.
He has extensive capital raising experience totaling over $5 billion along with direct middle market investment experience. Prior to co-founding Ironwood Capital in 1991, Marc was an investment professional with Aetna, Inc., initially as a private placement lender, then as the head of Aetna's investment banking subsidiary which became Ironwood Capital. He started his professional career as a bank examiner with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Marc is a member of the Board of Governors of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies, a member of the University of Connecticut School of Business Advisory Board, and serves as an advisor to the Co-Operative Fund of New England. He is a graduate of the Venture Capital Institute and is a frequent speaker at educational seminars and professional conferences.

Chris worked at Bessemer Venture Partners for fifteen years where he was one of the leading healthcare investors in the country. In this capacity, he and his partners managed over $1 billion of investments in dozens of young companies, a number of which have successfully become major biotech and high-tech firms pioneering new medical treatments, and new telecommunication and software technologies. Chris also served as a General Partner of Everest Ventures, a $680 million fund-of-funds that invested in 60 venture capital funds. Prior to his career at Bessemer, Chris founded and served as President and Chairman of Gabrieli Medical Information Systems, a healthcare services company that he took public and sold to a leading industry consolidator. Chris currently serves on the Board of Directors of two publicly traded companies, Isis Pharmaceuticals and EPIX Medical, where he is Chairman of the Board. He is also recognized as a civic leader in Boston's non-profit and public policy community serving on the boards of the Boston Foundation, Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, Boston's After-School For All Partnership, Boston Plan for Excellence in the Public Schools, and the Harvard School of Public Health.

Josh has thirty years of in-depth experience in research, development, manufacturing, regulatory affairs and general management of medical device companies. Josh started his career as the Vice President of Research and Development for Medi-Tech, which became Boston Scientific, and helped grow that company to 500 employees. Josh then went on to start two of his own companies, including ACT Medical, Inc., an outsourcing resource for medical device companies. He built the company to over $25 million in sales and sold it to a publicly traded company in 2000 for a 160x return on investment. From 2000 to 2003, Josh Tolkoff served as a Partner of Seedling Enterprises, an incubator fund that was created to find and develop early stage medical device concepts to a point of increased value. To date, Seedling has exited three of its investments at a significant gain and has spun off three additional projects as venture-financed companies. Josh is recognized as a leading figure in the medical device community and currently serves on the board of several privately held companies, chaired MassMedic, a 300+ industry trade group, and chairs the advisory board of the Harvard-M.I.T. Health Science & Technology (HST) program.

Carolyn is a founding partner of both Ironwood Capital and the investment advisors for its affiliated funds, Ironwood Mezzanine Fund LP and Ironwood Equity Fund LP. Her primary responsibilities include the oversight of investment selection and portfolio management for the funds, and all limited partner and regulatory reporting. She serves as Chief Investment Officer and is a member of the Funds' Investment Committees. Carolyn's experience includes mezzanine financing, asset-backed securities, senior debt, project financing, commercial mortgages, capital raising for funds, and totals nearly $6 billion. Prior to co-founding Ironwood Capital in 1991, Carolyn was an investment professional with Aetna, Inc. where she held a variety of positions in the areas of investment banking and international mutual fund management. She also spent four years with Paine Webber Incorporated in the Money Market Finance Group.

From 1996 to 2002, he was involved in all aspects of business development and transaction execution for Ironwood Capital's investment banking practice. His banking experience included the securitization of various asset classes, senior and mezzanine debt placements, distressed asset sales, project finance and financial advisory. Prior to joining Ironwood Capital, he spent two years as a financial analyst with AMS Services Inc. He is a graduate of the Venture Capital Institute and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Dickson is a senior investment officer for the Ironwood Mezzanine Fund. His responsibilities include deal origination, industry research, underwriting, deal structuring, execution, and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Ironwood Capital in 2001, he was a private equity fund manager at Environmental Opportunities Fund (EOF), an affiliate of Sanders Morris Harris Group based in New York City. While at EOF, Dickson was involved in the structuring and underwriting of later-stage equity investments in the environmental services sector, including Synagro Technologies, Waste Services, Inc. and IESI. Prior to EOF, Dickson was senior member of the corporate finance team at Pitney Bowes (PB) and helped spearhead various credit-related initiatives, including the successful launch of the PB credit card. Prior to PB, Dickson conducted transactional due diligence for buyout funds at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP. In addition to his graduate degree from Columbia, he has also completed numerous graduate courses at Northwestern University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Dickson currently serves on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Audit Committee at Interstate Waste Services, Inc., one of ten largest solid waste companies in the United States, and is a Board Observer at Buckingham Tool Acquisition Corporation.

Alex's primary responsibilities include deal origination, structuring, and execution, industry research and portfolio management for the Ironwood Equity Fund. Prior to joining Ironwood Capital, Alex was a Vice President of Market Development and Strategic Planning for Carpet One, the nation's largest floor covering retailer with over $3 billion in network revenue, responsible for building the Carpet One business by both leveraging existing resources and developing new channels of business. Alex started his career with Morgan Stanley & Co. as a Financial Analyst in the Fixed Income Group and later joined Advent International, a leading Boston-based private equity investment firm with $4.0 billion under management. As an Associate at Advent, he focused on buyouts and later-stage growth investments in the business service, consumer, and manufacturing sectors. Alex then went on to start Anything for Home - a marketing consortium that uses consumer and multi-vendor transactional data to increase sales and profits of its partners in the home improvement and move industries - raising $1.5 million in start-up capital and later merging it with CCA Global Partners.

Teddy is a Director in the Boston office with responsibility for deal origination, industry research, transaction structuring, execution, and portfolio monitoring. Teddy started his career as a consultant with The Parthenon Group, where he advised companies on corporate strategy and post-merger integration in a variety of industries. After Parthenon he worked with senior management at Harcourt Education, a division of Reed Elsevier Plc, to implement global supply chain reforms. Later, he helped evaluate and execute leveraged buyout transactions in the lower-middle market while an associate at Silverline Partners in New York.

Ellen is the portfolio manager for the Ironwood Mezzanine and Ironwood Equity Funds. She is also responsible for SBA compliance, financial reporting and limited partner relations. Her experience includes mezzanine financing, the securitization of various asset classes, senior debt placements, commercial mortgage financings and raising capital for investment funds. Prior to joining Ironwood Capital in 1994, Ellen was an investment professional in the Bond Investment Department of Aetna, Inc. where she held a variety of positions in the areas of quantitative research, public bond trading, municipal bond credit analysis and investment portfolio strategy. She has co-authored articles and delivered speeches on the topic of asset securitization and has represented Ironwood at industry conferences and professional seminars.

Maria has overall responsibility for the administrative functions of Ironwood Capital including evaluating, implementing and managing the firm's systems resources. She is also involved in the portfolio management and limited partner reporting functions of the funds as well as administering the firm's regulatory compliance with the U.S. Small Business Administration rules and regulations. She has supported Ironwood Capital in this capacity for over eleven years and was with Ironwood at its inception. Maria has previous experience with an advertising agency and a retail brokerage firm.

Victor has more than 20 years of experience in high technology venture capital investment and in mergers and acquisitions.
For more than ten years, he was the President and Executive Director of Connecticut Innovations, the State of Connecticut's investor in emerging technology companies and a national model for public investment in the health care and technology sectors. He developed and led a team of professionals making, managing and exiting from venture investments in over 55 companies and achieved returns commensurate with the most successful private sector peers.
Prior to Connecticut Innovations, Victor consulted to Fortune 500 companies on internal corporate venturing, technology businesses and a seed capital fund. Previously, he served as counsel at General Electric headquarters where he advised the corporate treasury and trust investment departments; was an associate legal counsel to NCNB Corporation (now Bank of America) and worked for the Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom law firm in Boston and New York City representing leading investment banking firms and domestic, foreign and multinational corporate clients in major corporate transactions.
He has built and maintained deep and long-standing relationships in the technology and venture
communities, as a member of the board of directors of the Connecticut Technology Council and Connecticut United for Research Excellence, Connecticut's bioscience industry organization, as well as a founder and co-chair of the Crossroads Venture Fair, the Northeast's largest venture event, held annually in Connecticut. In April, 2005, Mr. Budnick received the first Founder's Award from the Connecticut Venture Group in recognition of his leadership and vision in strengthening Connecticut's high-technology sector. In 2001, he received the Seton Elm Award in recognition of his work to strengthen ties between Yale University and the City of New Haven.
